Petition Dog Park La Mata
Dear dog lovers, La Mata is a wonderful place for us and our faithful four-legged friends. However, we all encounter the same problem: there is not a single safe, fenced area where our dogs can truly run and play freely.

Why is a Dog Park necessary?
I have launched a citizens' initiative to request the Torrevieja City Council to create an official dog park. My proposal concerns the large vacant plot at the intersection of Avenida de Soria and Calle Morera (near the dunes). This park offers a safe and pleasant place where dogs can socialize and exercise, which is essential for their well-being and that of their owners in La Mata. Moreover, it will benefit the residents by ensuring that dogs are less likely to run loose in undesirable places.

Who benefits most from this project?
Dogs and their owners in La Mata, in particular, will benefit from an enclosed off-leash area. Dogs will have the space to run, play, and socialize safely, which contributes to their health and happiness. Dog owners can let their four-legged friends run free with peace of mind, knowing that they are in an enclosed and safe place. Tourists with dogs will also greatly appreciate this facility. This initiative contributes to a more dog-friendly La Mata for everyone.
